âď¸My Pilates reformer sessions start next week MONDAY 19 September! (so keep reading)
đđźââď¸So what is REFORMER PILATES?
It was created in the 1920s by the physical trainer Joseph Pilates for the purpose of rehabilitation.
đThe evolution of the Pilates reformer began when Joseph Pilates was in the internment camp during World War I, where many
patients in the hospital were bed bound. To assist with movement, Joseph attached springs to a bed to help patients engage in
resistance exercises without having to stand up.
âď¸Reformer Pilates uses a reformer machine & is generally more intense & more dynamic than mat based Pilates as it adds resistance to the Pilates exercises via the use of the reformer springs.
âď¸It can also be used for clients recovering from injury - rehabilitation and prenatal / post natal.
âď¸Reformer Pilates can help improve and maintain overall physical fitness â leading to greater strength, flexibility and balance, which in turn improve posture, movement and mental health.
đAs I mentioned previously Iâve trained in Mat Pilates in 2014 and more recently Reformer Pilates, and have run my own Studio /Gym for 14 years.
âď¸Reformer pilates can be considered strength training where you can build toned muscles using a Reformer.
âď¸Reformer Pilates can contributes to your overall weight loss strategy by increasing your muscle tone.
đI will concentrate on - one on one personalised Pilates sessions not group sessions.
