VITAMINS OR MINERALS - BOTH!

☑️The researchers may have found new benefits to eating foods with multiple vitamins and minerals - BUT we know eating WHOLE FOODS has always been the best way to live.

✖️Sometimes our bodies are not great at taking the vitamins & minerals we need from foods so we may need to supplement.

✖️OR our soils have been depleted over time of minerals so that vegetables no longer contain some they did in the past.

☑️HOWEVER we should alway lean towards eating foods from a wide range of sources - colours - types and varieties.

☑️Plus getting some sun in winter for Vitamin D.

☑️Did you see the article I shared on Monday about colds & the flu and what we can do with Vitamins/Minerals to help us?

☑️Are you eating the SAME vegetables every week? Or do you use a variety?

🟡Frozen vegetables if cheaper are a great option when prices go up!

🟡I buy from a grocer in the local park in Ashburton therefore cheaper & fresher. Is there a local grocer you can get to?

🟡I’ve also been attempting a vegetarian dish once a week. A fish dish too. And as you may have see a new recipe once a week. 😜I also ate my sardines again! They were delicious!

☑️All to encourage variety into my life.

☑️I don’t sell vitamins or minerals to clients however we do discuss the benefits of vitamins & minerals and eating whole foods.

☑️Here is an article from Dr Libby Weaver on how to get the most from some supplements should you need to fill the gaps!

🟡Our Kilometre challenge is in its 3rd week and despite the rain that we had at the beginning of the week we are all making the effort to increase our KILOMETRES!

✨✨HAVE A HAPPY MATARIKI HOLIDAY - and enjoy a family/friend activity!
