Prevention is better than a cure

Updated: Jul 1, 2021

💕I call some things I do PREVENTATIVE MEDICINE! Although the types of things I do may not normally be what you think of as medicine but for me they mean I can live the life I do & assist what fitness I do to keep me strong, fit, flexible ect.

💕I’d rather spend my disposable money on these things than possessions as I believe they enhance my health (they’re not because of injury) which is a PRIORITY as I hope it means a long life with family & friends & experiences!

🤍Massage - every 8-12 weeks

🤍Osteopath - every 12-18 weeks

🤍Doctor - every 6 months

🤍Optometrist - once a year

🤍Dentist - once a year

🤍Hygenist - once a year

🤍Gynaecologist - once a year

🤍Mammogram - on cycle

🤍Running shoes - every six months

💅🏻I do also like my nails done & have other beauty appointments but these come after the above is diarised in!

🏃‍♀️I live a very active life as a Personal Trainer. I believe if I can talk the talk I need to walk the walk. So I workout and run or cycle or walk sometimes and I do this 6 days per week. I do believe in REST & RECOVERY! The body needs time to REPAIR & RECOVER!

😡I’ve heard some gyms pushing for 2 daily sessions or working out every day …when does the body repair or relax?

💗Massage - The purpose of massage is to relax the tissue, increase the flow of blood and oxygen.

💗Osteopath: An osteopath is a licensed physician who practices medicine using both conventional treatments and osteopathic manipulative medicine, which focuses on relieving pain and tension in the musculoskeletal system.

🚗This body is your vehicle for life. It has supported you thus far. It may have helped you carry children, and it has helped you to experience the wonder of the world so taking care of it should be your first priority. I am grateful for my clients putting time into their bodies & letting me care for their health!

💗As Dr Libby explains in the attached article ...If we’ve never known illness or injury, and always felt “fine”, we often take our health for granted, not paying it much attention or investing in it. However, as soon as we don’t have our health, we desperately want it back.

👍🏻Take a moment this weekend to consider what change you could make to improve your health? https://www.drlibby.com/health-wellbeing/how-do-you-hold-up-your-foundation-of-health/

🏃‍♀️We have racked up another huge total of 957 kilometres in our GYM this week as we head into JULY! 6 months done!

☀️ I know I’ve appreciated the sunshine (VITAMIN D) this week as I was getting very tired of the GREY DAYS! And vitamin D is essential to our wellbeing.

💗💗THANKS for reading and commenting on my posts - it makes my day and makes me smile! and I’m happy to recomend local people to see.
