I have struggled but I don't QUIT

‘OF COURSE I STRUGGLE I JUST DON’T QUIT”  Yes this use to be me - with food choices & fitness.  


💟After 12 years as a Personal Trainer I don’t STRUGGLE any more.  I love what I eat & I eat nutritionally great food MOST of the time.  As I’ve said before I do eat brownie, sticky date cake, fish & chips, macdonalds, kfc & I drink wine & vodka.  But not often.  


💟Do I miss any of these things in my every day life?  The answer is NO.  I have no desire to eat processed, high sugar foods frequently. Maybe losing the STRUGGLE is something I can assist you with too!


💟Do I STRUGGLE with exercise?  NO not any more.  When I started it was sometimes so hard to go but now even on cold, dark, drizzly days you will find me out for a run.  


💟The mental health benefit, the energy to do anything I want in life, the joy at seeing the outdoors of places I travel to from running, and the endorphins, energy, strength I get from the gym are all reasons I do what I do.


💟I wrote on Monday on my Facebook page of the ways I use to get around my head telling me not to exercise.  The best one is to get dressed into your fitness clothing & GO!


🤩As a Personal Trainer I have a lot to do with the motivation of my clients & getting them to GO! I also help them with their food choices & moving with small steps to a nutritious way of living.

💟We also discussed VITAMIN D this week in the gym & how this impacts our MOODS! VITAMIN D is a mood regulator, it also assists with the uptake of calcium and phosphate, immunity & cancer prevention.  


💟As we cover up over winter, we need to when possible uncover & soak up some of the sun as this action on the cholesterol in our skin is a major source of VITAMIN D.  The food sources with VITAMIN D are oily fish (salmon, sardines, tuna, eel). milk products, eggs & liver.  


💟If it is heavy rain all weekend, then maybe do the workout I’ve shared below in the photographs. We are also doing our 5-10 press ups per day for the month of June & your welcome to join us.  We achieved as a group this week 1523 (up from the week previously)


🤩Remember to get to where you're going with improved health & fitness sometimes you must STRUGGLE but don’t QUIT!
