Every Smile adds to my day! :-)

😀SMILE AT LIFE MY FRIEND - YOU’RE IMPROVING & THERE IS NO BETTER FEELING THAN THAT.  This quote brought a huge smile to my face every time I read it out in the gym this week.   It’s true - I see every hour of every day of those I PERSONAL TRAIN - IMPROVEMENT.  It’s a WOW moment of seeing change & increasing fitness & health!

🔅It often starts out hard but so did learning to walk!  Making changes to our Health & Fitness has AMAZING benefits. ENERGY, VIGOR, LUST FOR LIFE, IMPROVED FUTURE! I also discussed with a client how our energy levels are reflected in what we are nourishing our bodies with;

❓Do you take time to think about how you feel when you have eaten something?

❓Does it make you feel full?

❓Does it make you feel bloated?

❓Does it make you feel sleepy?

❓Do you consider what nutrients & vitamins the meal you're eating gives you?

❓Do you chew your food or just inhale it?

❓Do you drink water with your meal - try drinking water before or after so as to not dilute our stomach acids

❓Do you consider your portion sizes compared to if your sedentary or doing an activity that day?

❓Do you leave food on your plate if you feel full?

🔅Perhaps take time to consider some of the above when making meals through the day.

🦴 We discussed BONE BROTH  & the benefits this gives our bodies this week.  This is now available to purchase at supermarkets & can be a great way to add nutrients to our children's limited eating habits or our own!  Bone broths contain calcium, magnesium and phosphorus and amino acids, all nutrients that support our adrenal health, the nervous system, bones, teeth, nails as well as the immune system.

🔅ZINC is the other superstar nutrient we discussed & it’s often less considered than Vitamin C in winter yet it’s critical when it comes to immunity, wound healing, sex hormone balance, appetite & great digestion.  ZINC absorption can be interfered with by other foods yet poor zinc status can lead to poor blood glucose management, sugar cravings, loss of appetite, poor resistance to infection & lowered fertility.  Oysters, beef & lamb & to a smaller degree seeds all contain ZINC.

🔅It’s the last week of our Press up challenge & we managed to complete 1690. Up over 100 from the previous week.

🔅I managed to get out for a run last Friday in the drizzle, then Tuesday at 1 deg. I do hear excuses about why not, but I also love to hear many who do join me in the dark, drizzle or slightly frosty days.  Will you tick the fitness box this weekend?

🍷July is here next week & maybe consider if not DRY JULY then reducing your ALCOHOL intake.  Here’s the link for more info. https://www.dryjuly.co.nz/
