🙆🏼♀️I’m astounded when I’m on Instagram or other social media to see exercises I can’t fathom why you’d do them!
🔹From a weight / strength and pilates reformer Personal Trainer point of view!🫣
🔹Some are just fillers to make up time in the session & I’m often left asking why?
🔹There are so many great exercises out there to chose from as a trainer, why waste your clients time doing these FILLERS!
🔹I’m of the belief that I try to give my clients the best workout for as many parts of their body in the time I have with them!
🔹It’s SUPER important to aim for the best technique possible to ensure your getting as close to 100% benefit from each exercise & not just going through the motions!
🔹If your not hitting your technique then your wasting time under performing an exercise!
🔹For example when I see a bicep curl, an isolated exercise, I understand the technique & that bicep curls can have their place but I’d rather chose a compound exercise that uses more than just the bicep!
✔️Therefore more bang for buck!
✔️When you could have worked more muscle groups and at the end of your time you’ve worked biceps, your back (lats + traps) and ab’s and legs for example!
✔️It can depend on your end goal, but for most people it’s about getting the most benefit in the shortest time!
✔️And not doing filler exercises which realistically don’t achieve the end game but just take up time in a session!
✔️If your at home following an instagram or social media page for your workout, invest in a great trainer & get more from your workout & understand why an exercise is important.
