Fantastic WE are eating in moderation, making a healthy lifestyle for ourselves. We are exercising & eating nutritious food!
šBUT what are we doing with our children?
šAre our children watching too much television? Playing video games for hours?
šµOR do you encourage them outside?
šµDO YOU get on the bike with your kids or walk to the school?
šµAre they drinking water or fizz. Takeaways how often?
šAre we feeding different meals to what we eat ourselves? Don't you just love the pre packaged smiley face potato concoctions you can buy - what rubbish! what's wrong with a Kumera or Potato? Or pre packed chicken bites, have you read what's really in these things; why are we not just feeding whole foods.
šThen lets feed them 27 teaspoons of sugar with some water; fizzy, juice or a energy drink. Yes water can be boring and it's again considering moderation but not giving these crazy sugar drinks every day all day.
šIām not saying feed the kids perfection all the time but moderation. Teach them the difference between treat food occasionally & nutritious food predominantly. About fitness & getting outdoors exploring the world together sometimes.
š„°Whilst we spend time considering what we put into our bodies consider what you are putting into your children's.
š„°I wrote this post after reading how obesity in children is increasing & an article Iāll share on Monday about a man who changed his life & his childrenās over 4 years with nutrition & fitness as a focus.
šObesity equals increased health care costs but sadly unhappy & unhealthy children who sometimes can't be kids playing to the fullest. They're often kids sitting on the sidelines and sometimes bullied.
šāāļøš³As parents we initiate change. We inspire. We lead by example. What example are you setting?
ā¤ļøHave a great weekend ā¦enjoy the beauty of the world around you! Enjoy with your family.
