During the week I discuss with clients a topic I hope will enhance their fitness & nutritional knowledge. This week I mentioned the article I shared on Facebook on Monday; “how if exercise could be made into a pill form it would be oversubscribed as it is so important” So this week I was talking to the converted; clients who come to me & we workout!
🏃The article goes onto say: Exercise not only treats symptoms, but for some diseases such as Type 2 diabetes it can improve the condition to a point where it is placed into remission. For some people who experience back pain or joint problems, their condition can improve to such a degree through exercise, that surgery can be avoided.
🏃So why aren’t more people exercising? Why does it seem too hard? It really can be as simple as stepping out your door & walking to the letterbox & back or to the end of the street & back. And as for the excuse of time; there is time to wash your car, mow the lawns, have your hair cut, watch a tv show & these can all be replaced by the steps outside. I often combine a walk with a chance to catch up with a friend which is a great way to tick two boxes.
🏃My clients are getting fitter with me & for some it’s the appointment that they have to keep that makes the fitness happen. Yes it’s a cost but so is ill health? Maybe this is the way you can start to get fitter too. 🏃We are working on our press ups through February & we have two weeks to go. This week I’m going to be taking numbers of how many everyone has been doing! As I’ve said these can be done in bathrooms when your away or any small space & you don’t need any equipment.
