SHORT IS BETTER THAN NONE!

“A SHORT WORKOUT IS BETTER THAN NO WORKOUT” Moving adds to our quality of life & as we age we should consider this. We want to be able to bend over & do up our shoe laces. Imagine relying on someone else to do this, because we’ve become so inflexible or our tummy has got so large it gets in the way? If you're heading in this direction - there is always time to CHANGE DIRECTION.

MOVE & move towards perhaps walking to your letterbox (it doesn’t need to be far) as I mentioned on Monday just start! I’d love it if through my Facebook page someone reading this started to move this weekend as a SHORT workout is better than no workout. I tell my clients I’ve got no GOLD🏅 medals to give out, you're only competing with yourself. We shouldn't pressure ourselves to be exceptional we should just be happy that we got it done & did OUR BEST!

This week I was super stoked 🙌🏻 my clients got down to floor level & finished off our burpee challenge. Everyone improved so much - and it was hard but as I said to them, go at your own pace. The press ups were awesome too, great technique which should always be put above speed or competing.

And now it’s AUGUST 📆 - lets do something NEW - a new walk 🚶🏼‍♀️or a bike ride or a swim or something - a new track or with a new friend - here’s a link to some walks in our area https://www.methvenmthutt.co.nz/…/walking-and-hiking-trails/

I handed out my NEWSLETTER - I added in more pages as I get carried away with passing on my knowledge. One of the topic’s was about drinking water💦 which during winter months can be more difficult. A 70kg person, therefore, requires 2310ml (2.31 litres) a day. We do, however, tend to forget that many plant🥬 foods have a high water content and this contributes to our overall water consumption over the day. Herbal teas and soups🍅 also add up. Foods and drinks containing caffeine and alcohol🍹, however, draw water out of our body and the more of these we consume, the greater our fluid requirements. Enjoy the weekend & please look at MOVING more - I know its a recurring theme but the benefits are huge & worth the effort to get going. Next week we do a little more rowing 250m &....😜) & we are discussing how what we eat/drink impacts the body! I’m making the yummy Kumera, Yam & ginger soup which I shared a few weeks back. If you want the recipe please PM me! Life is too short & precious not to make the most of it x
